Parts Specialist

Compensation Pay Range: $19.13 - $23.50 per hour (actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location). Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses; premiums may be paid per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met. Job Summary The Parts Specialist provides all retail and installer customers with a high level of service and supports store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Follow and promote all company customer service programs (e.g. Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot). Promptly greet retail and walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in their selection of merchandise. Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store. Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash or checks, make change, and process credit card transactions. Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies and procedures. Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner. Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receipt, stocking shelves, fronting, facing, and cleaning. Perform various daily operational tasks such as preparing new, core, and warranty merchandise returns for shipment to the distribution center, assisting with monthly stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts, etc. Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and meeting company requirements. Provide in-store services to customers as permitted by state and local laws (e.g., install wipers, test and charge batteries, scan vehicle trouble codes, replace headlight capsules). Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle for deliveries (driving record must meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements) when business needs dictate. Perform any other duties as assigned. Requirements Must quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Must provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service. Must multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously. Preferred Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly Index system, and automotive sales or service.
