Board of Health Member: Community Stakeholder representative The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners is seeking a representative to serve on the Lincoln County Board of Health (Board). The Board is responsible for guiding, overseeing, and supporting the Lincoln County Public Health Department. They intact rules, make recommendations, and advise governing bodies on public health policies, programs and priorities. The Board also ensures that essential public health services, such as disease prevention, environmental health, and health promotion, are available and effectively managed in Lincoln County. The Board is made up of 3 Lincoln County Commissioners and 3 non-elected members consisting of: Public Health, healthcare facilities and provider representative Consumer of Public Health Services representative Other Community Stakeholder Currently, the Board of Commissioners is seeking a Community Stakeholder representative. The Board typically meets on the third Monday of every other month at 1:00 pm in the Commissioner Chambers in the Lincoln County Courthouse. In accordance with RCW 70.05.060, the powers and duties of the Local Board of Health are: Enforce through the local health officer or the admirative officer appointed under RCS 70.05.040, if any, the public health statutes of the state and rules promulgated by the state board of health and secretary of health; Supervise the maintenance of all health and sanitary measures for the protection of the public health within its jurisdiction; Enact such rules and regulations as are necessary in order to preserve, promote, and improve the public health and provide for enforcement thereof. Provide for the control and prevention of any dangerous, contagious or infectious disease within the jurisdiction of the Local Health Department; Provide for the control and prevention, control and abatement of nuisances detrimental to the public health; Make such reports to the state board of health through the local health officer or the administrative officer as the state board of health may require; and Establish fee schedules for the issuing or renewing licenses or permits or for such other services as authorized by the law and rules of the state board of health: PROVIDED, That such fees for services shall not exceed the actual cost of providing any such services.
