ELECTRICIAN/MAINTENANCE WORKER

Job Title

Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance, Operations and Transportation (MOT), perform journey-level electrical work involving the repair, alteration, construction, installation and maintenance of a variety of electrical systems and equipment and other general maintenance work as required.

Letter of Introduction Resume 2 Letters of Recommendation (wet signature) EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: any combination equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship program and three years journey-level experience in electrical installation, alteration and repair work. Testing required for this position. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver's license.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications: KNOWLEDGE OF: Tools, materials and the electrical trade; Federal, State, and local regulations pertaining to electrical standards and related codes; safety practices and regulations pertaining to the electrical trade; design, construction, installation and maintenance of electrical apparatus and equipment; technical aspects of field of specialty. ABILITY TO: Perform journey-level electrical work involving the repair, alteration, construction, installation and maintenance of a variety of electrical systems and equipment; plan layout, assembly, installation testing and repair of electrical systems; read and interpret blueprints, plans, drawings and specifications; make sketches and diagrams of electrical work and make accurate job estimates of materials and labor; work effectively with supervisors, school personnel and others; work from work orders and verbal instructions; apply shop math accurately and correctly; understand and follow oral and written instructions.
