Patient ratio experience of 1:2. Experience with charting systems preferred. Description: We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in labor and delivery. Charge nurse experience is required. Must be familiar with managing a patient ratio of 1:2 during shifts. Knowledge of charting systems is preferred. Responsibilities include assisting with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. Candidates should be skilled in pain assessment and management. Must demonstrate proficiency in the administration of medications and IV management. Experience with fetal monitoring and newborn assessments is necessary. The nurse will assist in discharge teaching for parents. Candidates should be prepared to provide breastfeeding support and lactation education. Experience in handling postpartum care is a must. The ability to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns is essential. Teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration are vital in this role.
