The  Reading Center Site Lead is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, operations, and instructional quality of a reading center site. This role combines  program management, staff supervision, student support, and family engagement to ensure a safe, effective, and outcomes-driven learning environment. The Site Lead serves as the primary on-site leader and liaison between staff, students, families, and central administration.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Site Operations

• Oversee daily operations of the reading center, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment
• Manage site schedules, room usage, materials, and instructional resources
• Track attendance, enrollment, and student participation data

Instructional Leadership

• Ensure high-quality academic support aligned with curriculum standards and program goals
• Monitor instructional practices and provide coaching and feedback to tutors/instructors
• Support individualized learning plans and student goal-setting
• Use data to evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies

Staff Supervision & Development

• Supervise, train, and support tutors, instructors, and site staff
• Conduct staff onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations
• Foster a collaborative, professional, and student-centered team culture
• Address staff concerns and resolve on-site issues promptly

Student & Family Engagement

• Serve as the primary point of contact for students and families at the site
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, attendance, and needs
• Support student behavior management using positive and restorative practices
• Build strong relationships that promote student engagement and retention

Administration & Reporting

• Collect and submit required reports, data, and documentation in a timely manner
• Support audits, observations, and site visits as needed
• Communicate regularly with program leadership regarding site performance and needs

Qualifications

• Degree in Education, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in education, tutoring, youth development, or program coordination
• Prior experience supervising staff or leading a team
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

• Teaching credential or instructional coaching experience
• Experience working in learning centers, or after-school programs
• Familiarity with data-driven instruction and student progress monitoring
• Bilingual or multilingual skills (as applicable to the community served)

Work Environment & Schedule

• On-site position at a reading center location
• Will include afternoon, evening, or weekend hours depending on program needs
• Standing, walking, and light lifting may be required

Compensation & Other

• Competitive salary commensurate with experience
• Student enrollment incentives
• 27 hours per week max
• After school and Saturday program

We are an 18 year old charitable non-profit with global reach and we are opening a brand new after school reading center in King of Prussia. Only FUNetix can teach children how to read from the ABC's to a 2nd grade reading level in 6 weeks or less. Help teach kids how to read after school by joining our Team FUNetix, and by helping to run our center and manage tutors/learning coaches as they work with students ages 5-9. Interact with parents, onboard students, provide guidance and supervision and watch miracles happen!
