Credentialing Specialist (000573)

Responsibilities The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for facilitating all aspects of provider credentialing, including initial appointment, reappointment, credential audits, and clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and all other providers as outlined in corporate policy and procedures or hospital bylaws. Utilizing MDStaff credentialing software, the specialist performs and monitors credentialing/background checks while maintaining accuracy and data integrity. Responsibilities also include interpreting and ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies, and developing a working knowledge of statutes and laws related to credentialing. This position is not a remote role; all work is performed on site. Qualifications Audit Location Open to all facilities (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens) EXCEPT Central Office. Candidates must be willing to work at one site.
