Position Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional healthcare setting while ensuring compliance with established clinical standards and regulatory requirements. The RN will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, administering medications and treatments, implementing physician-directed care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support positive patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide quality care in a secure and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities • Assess, diagnose, and treat patient health concerns and nursing care needs within the scope of practice. • Perform comprehensive health assessments to identify new symptoms, undiagnosed conditions, and potential complications. • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers. • Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to treatments and interventions. • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans to ensure quality patient care. • Educate and counsel patients regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment compliance. • Execute medical regimens prescribed by physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, podiatrists, and dentists. • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate and improve patient care. • Serve as a consultant on health-related committees and contribute to healthcare planning initiatives. • Maintain accurate and timely patient records, assessments, treatment documentation, and clinical reports. • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide necessary nursing interventions. • Ensure compliance with correctional healthcare policies, infection control standards,

and professional nursing practices. • Support continuity of care through effective communication with healthcare providers and facility personnel.

Work Schedule & Conditions • Various shifts available based on facility needs • Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (3 days per week) • Evening Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (2 days per week) • Night Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM • Overtime: Not required • Travel: Not required • Holidays: Required to work on New York State holidays as scheduled

Qualifications & Requirements • Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York • Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience post-licensure required • Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and patient care skills • Experience in correctional healthcare, hospital, long-term care, psychiatric, or related healthcare settings preferred • Knowledge of nursing care planning, healthcare documentation, and patient education practices • Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, confidentiality, and professional nursing standards

Background Check Requirements • Must successfully complete all facility-required background checks and security clearances prior to assignment

Vaccination & Medical Requirements • Must meet all facility medical clearance requirements prior to assignment

Required Training • Facility-specific orientation and training as required prior to assignment
