PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading company in the advanced manufacturing industry to hire a CNC Machine Operator. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to develop hands-on machining skills while contributing to the production of high-quality precision components.

As a CNC Machine Operator , you will play a key role in producing machined parts that meet strict quality and safety standards. You'll work with advanced equipment, develop your technical skills, and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Operate CNC machines to produce precision-machined components while following established procedures and safety guidelines.

• Load raw materials and unload completed parts from machines.

• Operate multiple machines simultaneously to support production goals.

• Inspect your own work and assist with quality checks on team members' parts.

• Select and use appropriate tooling, fixtures, and measuring equipment.

• Perform dimensional inspections using tools such as:

• Digital calipers

• Micrometers

• Snap gauges

• Optical comparators

• Other precision measuring instruments

• Make tooling adjustments and update work offsets to maintain quality standards.

• Perform minor edits to existing CNC programs.

• Adjust machine settings to ensure parts meet required dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.

• Maintain production records using quality systems and databases as needed.

• Perform basic preventative maintenance, including lubricant checks and equipment upkeep.

• Clean machines and work areas, including chip removal and general housekeeping.

• Follow all quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.

• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production objectives.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

• Basic understanding of machining practices and precision measurement.

• Knowledge of basic math, geometry, and trigonometry principles.

• Ability to read and interpret basic technical instructions.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Must be able to work in an ITAR-controlled environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of machining experience preferred.

• Recent certificate or training in precision machining, CNC operations, or a related technical field preferred.

• Basic understanding of G&M programming codes.

• Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.

• Ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull as needed.

• Ability to lift, push, or pull assisted loads up to 50 pounds.

• Must have the ability to see clearly, including depth perception and peripheral vision, and perform tasks requiring hand-eye coordination.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
