Schedule:

• 3rd shift
• 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
• Rotation begins Thursday and runs through the following Wednesday
• Thursday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend is included in the rotational schedule
• Holidays: As needed
• On call: None
• Floating: None 

Facility Overview:

• 74-bed facility
• Level IV Trauma Center
• Primary Stroke Center
• Provides inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department CT services
• Patient ratio: 1:1 

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist will work independently in the CT department, performing diagnostic CT examinations for inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients. The technologist will work with an X-ray technologist onsite for support and will be responsible for transporting patients to and from examinations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform CT examinations according to established protocols and department standards.
• Provide CT services for inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department patients.
• Work independently while collaborating with onsite X-ray technologists and department leadership.
• Transport patients to and from CT examinations as needed.
• Perform peripheral IV starts and administer IV contrast safely.
• Operate Canon/Toshiba CT scanners, including 40- and 80-slice systems.
• Perform CT procedures using appropriate positioning, protocols, and radiation-safety practices.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and exam information in EPIC.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, technologists, and other healthcare staff.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and departmental procedures. 

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Canon/Toshiba CT scanner experience preferred/required for the assignment.
• Experience with Medrad Stellant injector, preferably 2+ years.
• EPIC experience is required.
• ARRT (CT) certification/registration.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with peripheral IV starts and IV contrast injection.
• Strong understanding of basic CT principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Orientation:

• At least one shift of orientation to learn department workflow and processes.
