About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Recruiting to take on the challenge of building and managing the organization's talent pipeline. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the most valuable data for solving humanity's greatest challenges is not locked away due to privacy concerns. The successful candidate will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting, with a focus on engineering and technical roles, but also spanning product, marketing, fundraising, policy, and finance/ops. The Head of Recruiting will be a key player in the company's mission, working to attract and retain top talent in the fields of AI, security, and privacy technology. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in these areas, be comfortable discussing technical concepts, and be driven by the goal of using technology to effect positive change. The Head of Recruiting will be a hands-on individual contributor, using a hunter mentality to proactively source and engage with passive candidates. They will be expected to have a strong background in full-cycle recruiting, with a particular emphasis on technical roles, and experience in recruiting for a software product organization. The role requires a high level of technical literacy, the ability to hold credible conversations with technical candidates, and experience in using AI tools for recruiting. The candidate should be detail-oriented, have a strong follow-through, and be adept at managing multiple concurrent hiring pipelines. Experience with applicant tracking systems, project management tools, and a genuine interest in privacy, AI, and open-source technology are essential.
