Key Responsibilities Campus Safety & Supervision Monitor and secure all campus entry and exit points Conduct routine patrols of the building and surrounding areas Support arrival, dismissal, and transition procedures to ensure student safety De‑escalate conflicts and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner Collaborate with school leadership on safety protocols and emergency response Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation Student & Staff Support Build positive, professional relationships with students while maintaining clear boundaries Serve as a consistent adult presence reinforcing school expectations Support hallway supervision and ensure orderly transitions Assist staff in maintaining a safe and structured learning environment Facilities & Operations Support Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and large items for classrooms, events, and daily operations Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing light bulbs, basic repairs, reporting larger issues) Support event setup and breakdown (tables, chairs, materials, etc.) Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of shared spaces Respond quickly to urgent operational needs across campus Physical & Logistical Duties Perform heavy lifting (up to 50+ lbs) as needed Be on feet for extended periods, actively monitoring campus Navigate indoor and outdoor spaces in varying weather conditions Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or school safety preferred Experience working in a school or youth‑centered environment is a strong plus Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly Strong communication and interpersonal skills Physically capable of lifting, moving, and supporting operational needs Flexible, team‑oriented, and willing to step in where needed What we’re looking for Presence: alert, aware, proactive Professionalism: handle situations with maturity, discretion, consistency Dependability: show up, follow through, rely on Student‑Centered Mindset: care deeply about student safety and well‑being Team Player: support beyond core duties to ensure campus success Why Join UPA?
