Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Imc/Pcu/Stepdown Registered Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to adult patients in the IMCU/PCU/Stepdown unit, managing complex and acute conditions with a focus on neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory diagnoses. Ensure high-quality patient care through effective assessments, interventions, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and healthcare standards.
• Monitor patient progress, vital signs, and responses to treatments, responding promptly to any changes.
• Document patient care, treatment plans, and clinical observations accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist with advanced clinical procedures such as chest tube management, A-line monitoring, pacing, and ventilator management.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control procedures, and unit guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active NY RN license with documentation of all necessary credentials.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in IMCU, PCU, or Stepdown units.
• Current certifications including AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Proficiency in using EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to work floating shifts across multiple units with flexibility.
• Valid driver's license and proof of travel experience, if applicable.
