The Engineer provides ongoing support including building, upgrading, patching and extensive monitoring.The Epic ODBA will ensure stability, performance and high availability of these critical systems.QualificationsWhat You'll DoManage and support Epic ODB environments, including installations, configurations, upgrades, and patchingPerform IRIS database administration and support enterprise Epic infrastructureMonitor, analyze, and optimize system performance while supporting capacity planning effortsPartner with Epic application, infrastructure, and operations teams to maintain a highly available environmentTroubleshoot complex technical issues and implement scalable solutionsSupport ongoing modernization initiatives, including cloud and platform engineering effortsWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's Degree requiredThis role can review and consider experience in lieu of a degreeEpic ODBA certification PreferredExperience administering enterprise systems and platformExperience administering and supporting enterprise Epic environmentsStrong knowledge of Epic infrastructure, ODB management, upgrades, and patchingExperience with system performance analysis, troubleshooting, and capacity planningPreferred QualificationsStrong InterSystems IRIS database administration expertiseUNIX/Linux system administration and scripting experienceFamiliarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformExperience with Epic Chronicles, Data Courier, and related Epic technologiesPassion for solving complex technical challenges in a mission-driven healthcare environmentSkills For SuccessAbility to manage Epic ODB environments including installations, configurations, upgrades and patchingIRIS database administration expertise strongly preferredExperience in system performance analysis and capacity planningExperience and knowledge of UNIX/Linux system administration and scripting preferredFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Familiarity with Epic Chronicles, Data Courier and other Epic applications preferredAbility to analyze and troubleshoot complex system and application issues.Understanding of system security concepts and the implementation of security-leading practices.Excellent reasoning and analytic skills in a time critical/mission critical problem-solving operation.
