Cashier - Customer Service

The Convenience Store Cashier is responsible for providing friendly, efficient customer service while accurately handling sales transactions. This role supports daily store operations by maintaining a clean, well-stocked environment and ensuring a positive experience for every customer. Requirements/Responsibilities Key Responsibilities• Greet customers promptly and courteously• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for cash, credit, and debit transactions• Handle cash responsibly, including making change and balancing the cash drawer• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, restrooms, and work areas• Monitor inventory levels and report low or out-of-stock items• Follow all store policies, safety procedures, and loss-prevention guidelines• Verify age requirements for tobacco, alcohol, or lottery sales (where applicable)• Assist with opening and closing duties as assignedQualifications & Skills• High school diploma or equivalent preferred• Prior cashier or customer service experience is a plus, but not required• Strong customer service and communication skills• Basic math skills and attention to detail• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Dependable, punctual, and trustworthyPhysical Requirements• Ability to stand for extended periods• Ability to lift up to 25–40 pounds on a regular basis• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasksWork Environment• Fast-paced retail environment• May include evenings, weekends, and holidaysPerformance Expectations• Consistently provide friendly, professional service• Maintain accurate transactions and cash handling• Follow all company policies and procedures• Contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming store atmosphere #J-18808-Ljbffr ZippyApp - Recruitment Marketing
