Job Overview At Main Event, the Dishwasher position is essential for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and ensuring the safety of guests and staff. Dishwashers are responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and properly storing all dishes, flatware, utensils, and kitchenware while following all safety and sanitation policies. Responsibilities Clean, sanitize, and store all dishes, flatware, utensils, and kitchenware. Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Use chemicals properly in correct quantities for safety and cost control. Sort dishware and flatware to prevent loss or damage. Carefully handle glassware to eliminate breakage. Empty trash and maintain clean trash cans. Assist kitchen staff with pressure‑point relief, line maintenance, sweeping, and clearing dirty dishes. Assist with prep and banquet items as directed by management. Clean and maintain kitchen, dish areas, floors, walls, drains, mats, and storage areas. Maintain a cooperative relationship with all team members to promote a positive work environment. Notify supervisor promptly about problems or unusual matters and take corrective action when necessary. Work days, nights, and weekends as required, maintaining a friendly and upbeat demeanor. Qualifications Must be able to clearly communicate with guests and team members. Must be disciplined, self‑motivated, and professional in appearance according to dress guidelines.
