Make a meaningful impact as a paraprofessional supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year! This full-time, contract opportunity involves working closely with diverse learners in both self-contained classrooms and with higher-functioning students requiring specialized academic instruction. Your dedication will help foster an inclusive and supportive educational environment for all students.
Daily hours are Monday through Friday, 8:10 am to 3:20 pm, making this a balanced position for those seeking consistency throughout the school year. If you’re passionate about making a difference in students’ lives, this role gives you the chance to work hands-on with students who benefit from individualized attention and care.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting teachers in self-contained classrooms, adapting instructional materials as needed
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to higher-functioning students with specialized instructional needs
- Fostering academic, behavioral, and social growth while promoting a positive classroom culture
- Implementing lesson plans and individualized education plans under teacher supervision
- Supporting students with personal care or mobility needs as required
- Maintaining open communication with school staff and participating actively in team meetings
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Previous experience working as a paraprofessional or aide in a school setting preferred
- Compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting students with a range of abilities
- Ability to follow educator direction and adapt to varying classroom situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable attendance and a collaborative attitude
