Software Engineer - Space Programs

Responsibilities

Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis for telemetry, tracking, and command software solutions.
Gather software requirements and design, develop, troubleshoot, and analyze software programs that operate with hardware systems.
Document new and existing programs and maintain program libraries and manuals.
Customize purchased applications based on research and customer needs.
Report software and hardware status and availability to management.
Provide hands-on first-level support to customers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related technical field.
Two years of relevant experience in software engineering or a related area.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
U.S. citizenship with proof of citizenship.
Ability to maintain access to the government worksite.
Desired experience with OpenVMS, Linux, or Windows operating systems; SQL databases; Ada, C++, or Java; and software design principles.
Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and customer-interaction skills.
