Senior Director, Marketplace Operations & Health

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director Marketplace Operations & Health to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead continuous improvement work focused on process discipline, productivity, and measurable operating gains. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a technology-driven environment. Location: Chicago, IL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $220,000 – $256,000 annually Responsibilities Own end-to-end optimization and health of marketplace operations Identify and drive growth opportunities through optimization of marketplace systems Execute and report on strategies to enhance marketplace initiatives Define and implement a continuous improvement roadmap for leadership Establish monitoring models and alerting thresholds for reliability Lead incident management lifecycle for data and quality failures, ensuring continuous improvement Manage and develop Marketplace Operations team with a focus on strategic direction and AI-enhanced approaches Qualifications 7+ years in data operations or marketplace/system reliability engineering with a business-driven focus Cross-functional leadership across Data Engineering, Ops, Marketing, and GTM/Sales Incident management experience taking ownership of KPIs like 'data downtime' Proven experience in developing health monitoring frameworks at scale, including alerting and dashboards Strong data literacy and fluency in SQL and data pipeline awareness Demonstrated track record in driving systematic improvements rather than reactive solutions Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on Day 1 Equity (ISOs) 401(k) program Family planning programs + paid parental leave Physical fitness and wellness memberships Emotional and mental health support programs Unlimited PTO + 10 paid federal holidays + annual Winter Break Flexible work environment Lunch reimbursement for in-office employees Employee Resource Groups Learning and Development stipend Transparent company culture Engaging mission-driven work environment Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
