Create engaging lesson plans that develop receptive and expressive signing skills. Assess student learning through projects, presentations, classroom activities, and formal assessments. Foster an inclusive classroom that supports students with diverse learning styles. Integrate technology and multimedia into daily instruction. Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs. Communicate with students, parents, and school staff regarding academic progress. Maintain attendance, grades, and student records in accordance with district policies. Participate in department meetings, professional development, and school events. What you'll need Bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies, American Sign Language, Deaf Education, Education, or a related field. Valid California Single Subject Credential in World Language, American Sign Language with English Learner Authorization. Fluency in American Sign Language. Knowledge of Deaf culture, history, and community. Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
