Facility Manager

Description Under general supervision of the Assistant Parks and Recreation Director, this position performs administrative, supervisory, and professional duties related to facility operations at the Yukon Community Center and the Jackie Cooper Gymnasium. The role also involves the development, planning, and implementation of community-based recreational programming at various Parks and Recreation sites. Key responsibilities include coordinating facility operations, maintaining financial records, scheduling staff, providing training, enforcing policies, and managing special events. The position requires overseeing full- and part-time employees, preparing reports, developing budgets, and ensuring equipment safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct needs assessments to determine community recreational needs. Manage and supervise assigned operations, planning workloads and staff assignments. Develop and oversee comprehensive recreation programs for all ages. Generate administrative reports and review policies. Manage staff, including hiring, training, and evaluation. Inspect equipment and maintain preventive maintenance of facilities. Plan, teach, and organize recreational activities. Collect and deposit all facility funds; oversee rental process. Serve as member of community committees as assigned. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 21 years of age or older. Bachelor’s degree in recreation, leisure studies, or related field. 1–3 years of recreation program administration and/or facility management experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising a multi-use recreation center in a municipal setting. Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification. Conditions of Employment Valid Oklahoma State Driver’s License. Pass post‑offer drug screen and background check. Work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Good physical condition, vision, and ability to handle weather conditions. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing 25 pounds or more. Work in confined spaces and be exposed to noise and uneven surfaces.
