The Private Banking Relationship Associate II provides advanced portfolio administration, relationship management support, and business development partnership to Private Banking Business Development Officers. This role serves as a strategic extension of the BDO by supporting complex client relationships, coordinating cross-functional service delivery, facilitating relationship growth, and ensuring operational excellence across assigned portfolios.The Private Banking Relationship Associate II helps enable Business Development Officer production and revenue growth by managing portfolio administration, supporting business development initiatives, coordinating complex client needs, and expanding the capacity of BDOs to focus on client acquisition and relationship development. The role maintains direct client contact, regularly participates in client and prospect meetings, and serves as a resource and mentor to junior team members.Advanced Portfolio Management & Relationship Oversight: Acts as the primary portfolio management partner to assigned BDO(s). Oversees servicing activities for complex client relationships. Coordinates relationship reviews and ongoing portfolio maintenance. Supports retention, expansion, and service recovery efforts. Monitors relationship health and identifies opportunities for enhancement.Business Development & Growth Enablement: Partners with BDOs to support business development efforts and portfolio growth initiatives. Maintains oversight of sales pipeline management, referral activity, prospect tracking, and production reporting. Assists with preparation of client presentations, relationship reviews, prospect materials, and business development strategies. Coordinates and executes follow-up activities associated with client acquisition and expansion opportunities.Client & Prospect Engagement: Participates in relationship-building activities and serves as an extension of the BDO. Regularly attends client and prospect meetings. Assists in preparation and delivery of relationship reviews and presentations. Supports client acquisition and retention activities. May serve as primary contact for client servicing matters.Complex Onboarding & Cross-Functional Coordination: Leads implementation of complex client onboarding activities. Coordinates with Operations, Compliance, Treasury, Wealth Management, and Lending partners. Ensures compliance requirements are satisfied. Supports specialized relationship structures and account configurations.Escrow Administration & Specialized Relationship Support: Serves as division subject matter expert for designated specialties. Supports escrow relationship administration and related operational requirements. Coordinates with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams. Maintains knowledge of specialized products and servicing requirements.Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred with major course work in business administration or a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience. Minimum 5-7 years of banking, private banking, wealth management, commercial banking, treasury management, or portfolio administration experience.Demonstrated experience managing complex client relationships and portfolios.Strong communication and servicing skills. Strong understanding and related working experience with bank systems and CRM platforms including Salesforce.Working in a fast-paced environment with experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing work efforts.Skills/KnowledgeExperience in Relationship Management and Client Servicing.Extensive knowledge of Banking Operations and Compliance.Excel in a fast-paced, demanding environment to drive results.Highly organized, motivated, and demonstrate the ability to think creatively and critically.Must have excellent analytical skills with proven ability to comprehend business requirements and translate into functional specifications with a strong attention to detail.Must possess excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organizationAbility to coordinate complex, multi-product client relationships.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Specialized escrow experience preferred.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and key stakeholders.Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.Self-learner, and desire to enhance skills with training.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Jira are required At Eastern Bank, we pride ourselves on supporting our employees by offering tremendous opportunity for individual growth.
