Senior Select Stage Manager

Role Overview The role will lead a team that matures the commercialization strategy for an upstream oil and gas development. Responsibilities include evaluating multiple development concepts, selecting a lead concept, and guiding the project through Pre‑FEED and optimization prior to the decision to move to FEED. The Select Stage Manager coordinates activities across multiple work fronts, leading a large cross‑functional technical, commercial, and execution team. Key work efforts involve incorporating subsurface appraisal well results, screening upstream and midstream development concept options, and assessing the feasibility of various commercialization strategies. Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical work across subsurface disciplines and deepwater domains such as subsea equipment, marine operations, project execution, and operations.
• Engage with senior management, technical leaders, joint venture partners, and government partners to evaluate and communicate plausible upstream development concepts and commercial pathways.
• Apply early‑stage project development skills, including decision framing, strategy development, and economic analysis to present robust business cases.

Qualifications Professional Engineering qualifications. 15+ years of experience in the upstream oil and gas business environment, combining technical, commercial, or operations roles within an operating business. Direct experience in early stages of major capital project development, from concept evaluation to technical/commercial maturation, including economic value assessment and uncertainty framing for large‑scale opportunities. Experience in business development with knowledge of profitability analysis and upstream fiscal and commercial frameworks. Experience in major capital projects in commercial, engineering, or execution functions. Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑functional technical teams, including subsurface, facilities engineering, commercial, and execution. Experience working with and influencing partner companies in joint venture assets.
