Site Reliability Engineer

Job Overview We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to lead the development of more robust and resilient systems at Booz Allen. The role focuses on building infrastructure redundancy, implementing monitoring tools, and automating routine tasks to reduce operational toil. Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of resilient infrastructure for Booz Allen. Build redundancy, implement monitoring tools, and automate routine tasks. Reduce toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair. Leverage on-prem data center expertise while learning and supporting cloud evolution. Collaborate with engineers, act as a subject-matter expert for clients, and support team growth. Qualifications 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining highly reliable, scalable systems. 5+ years of experience providing technical support for system upgrades, rollouts, and enhancements. 3+ years developing and deploying infrastructure solutions. 3+ years sustaining VMware v6.x or later, including virtual data center design. 3+ years designing and deploying highly available storage solutions, including SAN and high-capacity storage. Experience with data center design and buildout. Experience transforming large-scale software, data center, or on-prem infrastructure to virtualized architecture. Ability to lead, train, and mentor junior system administrators. Top Secret security clearance. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Nice to Have Skills Experience with user management and monitoring tools. Ability to analyze test results. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement. Operating Systems certification. Network certification. Cloud certification. Compensation Projected compensation range: $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by location, education, experience, and organizational requirements. This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date. Work Model Remote: may still require occasional in-person work at Booz Allen or customer facilities. Hybrid: expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, and may visit customer facilities. Onsite: primary work at Booz Allen office or customer facility.
