Market Analyst - Natural Gas

Position Overview Koch Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Natural Gas Market Analyst to join our team! Team & Schedule The Market Analyst reports to the Director of Natural Gas Trading and will work a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Preferred location is Houston, TX, but the candidate may also work in Wichita, KS. Responsibilities Communication & Collaboration: Collaborate with the commercial team to build fundamental analysis, develop viewpoints, and recommend transactable commercial strategies. Partner with the team on real‑time market analysis and decision‑making. Liaise with internal departments such as Risk Management, Operations, and Finance to support trading activities. Market Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive research on natural gas markets focused on the Northeast US, covering supply and demand fundamentals, market trends, and economic indicators. Analyze market data and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to support trading decisions. Data Management: Collect, organize, and maintain relevant market data from various sources. Utilize advanced data analytics tools and techniques to interpret and visualize market trends. Qualifications Experience analyzing data and performing quantitative analysis in a professional or academic setting. Experience working with Microsoft Excel, including creating and editing VBA, and with databases. Experience with programming languages such as Python or Claude, including foundational concepts (sequencing, conditional logic, loops). Experience in energy or commodities markets. Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Energy Management, or a related field. Additional Information This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
