Your Role
As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Bear Creek Senior Living, you’ll work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist as a vital part of a compassionate team dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents. Your duties will include:
- Providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting with treatment interventions and therapeutic exercises
- Assisting in reviewing patients’ functional needs and reporting observations to the supervising Physical Therapist to support optimal patient outcomes
- Implementing established plans of care as directed by the Physical Therapist, incorporating participation by significant others whenever appropriate
- Conducting therapy practice within defined standards of care and in accordance with the Physical Therapist’s treatment plan
- Directing the assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals
- Communicating effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist, other professionals, and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes
- Following facility and departmental policies and procedures, including quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
- Documenting treatment sessions, patient responses, and progress notes; regularly updating documentation and maintaining records as required
- Enhancing professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license from the state of Colorado
- Knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of the population age groups that will be receiving services
- At least one year of experience as a physical therapy assistant preferred
- Ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act
Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected compensation range for this position is $32.00 and $40.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and other relevant factors.
