About the Role: Customized Support Services Inc is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities: Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and social outings Encourage skill-building, independence, and community integration Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and interdisciplinary team members Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent required Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and health screening CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends About Us: Customized Support Services Inc is a trusted provider of individualized care and support services for people with disabilities in the Los Angeles area.
