Assistant Manager

Assistant Manager, Retail Team As part of our Retail team, the Assistant Manager is responsible for creating a client experience that accurately reflects the ethos of our brand while building and maintaining strong client relationships and driving sales through outstanding service. The ideal candidate is committed to client service, demonstrates a strong understanding of the luxury, travel, fashion, and lifestyle markets, and is eager to grow with the brand. Key Responsibilities Meet and exceed individual and store baseline goals for personal sales and KPI metrics inclusive of conversion, DPT, UPT and Client Data Capture. Display a good sense of initiative, able to plan and prioritize, displays strategic thinking, and champion change effectively. Take pride in work and strive for excellence; take responsibility for performance and complete all assigned tasks and meet deadlines. Help teach others training content through consistent roleplay and coaching; demonstrate openness to new ideas and concepts while quickly learning and applying them to the job. Provide coaching and feedback, utilizing company tools to create a 360‑degree coaching culture, and remain open to feedback from supervisors, peers and team. Assist in recruiting and networking to ensure hiring of high‑caliber performing team members and maintain an active bench strength of potential candidates. Exercise strong written and verbal communication skills; adapt communication upwards, laterally and to the team; maintain ethical conduct when completing job duties. Assist the Store Manager with managing the store schedule, timecards and payroll; maintain Tumi University Training. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Ensure the store follows visual guidelines and directives; enforce excellent client services through the use of client books, thank you cards and executing event strategies to deliver a consistent superior client experience. Qualifications Understand the TUMI brand and have a true passion for lifestyle, clients, and product assortment. Value a collaborative environment and have an openness to feedback. Ability to move around the store, lift and push boxes that weigh up to 30 pounds, and use a ladder to complete job duties. Strong sales and client experience, preferably in the luxury market. Proven success in meeting sales goals and achieving KPIs. Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, mornings, and holidays as needed.
