Connections Personnel is hiring for a temp to hire Distillation Operator for our client located in Linden, NJ. Looking for a candidate who has worked in food or flavoring background to join the team. Must have distillation or reactor experience.Make your application after reading the following skill and qualification requirements for this position.Requirements:Distillation or reactor experience, both vacuum & atmospheric.General distillation process physics understanding vacuum, open/closed systems, forward and reflux distillation, system parts and function.Understanding basic separation, solvent recovery concepts.Ability to correctly identify and pour raw materials in designated vessel utilizing scales.Ability to set up and use pumps, filters, scales and other equipment as well as control heat/vacuum.Ability to pack products into the correct containers and label as required.Flavor / Food Industry experience a plus.Ability to read and interpret Sage ERP system's batch sheets, track batches in Sage ERP system, submit sample to Quality and print stock labels.Able to perform basic math and convert units of measure.Diligent in batch-record & log keeping with sufficient details.Ability to operate all on-site forklifts.Ability to read and produce batches when given disposition from Quality.Work in accordance with all relevant requirements including, but not limited to GMP, SQF, HAACP, FDA, USDA and internal safety guidelines.Compliance with the systems/programs of Flavor Producer's Quality, Safety and Food Safety programs.Other tasks as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing.Experience in batching environment preferred.General chemistry understanding a plus.Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to perform routine work assignments, multi-tasking and following instructions with moderate supervision; ability to work well under pressure.Ability to understand work procedures, methods and use required equipment.Strong writing skills and able to communicate proficiently in English.Must have forklfit experience.E-verify, drug and background check done prior to starting.Must have computer skills.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
