This critical component includes program phases progressing from initial concept development through design, build, test, and flight. Our team supports all lines of business at Lockheed Martin which means you could be designing solar arrays that power the next mission to Mars or the next generation of GPS satellites or systems that protect and defend our nation. In this role, you will:• Work under the direction of other engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop components, assemblies, and systems for Lockheed Martin Space products.• Participate in issue resolution and develop solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure.• Develop, review, and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support product build and testing activities.• Generate and release drawings using CAD software.• Be a member of multiple integrated product teams, reciprocally interacting with other engineers, manufacturing personnel, suppliers, and customers.• Represent the organization in design reviews, readiness reviews, and review boards. • Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to supervise the build and test of the hardware in the production facility located next door to the engineering building. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
