Duties:

\n
• Provide evidence-based care in an outpatient clinical setting and provide consultation services in an inpatient setting or emergent need. Provide telehealth consultations as needed.
\n
• Perform a physical examination, review patient's medical data and order routine diagnostic imaging studies and labs when indicated.
\n
• Document observation, assessments, and changes in patient's condition; collaborating with health team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes.
\n
• Provide diagnosis and treatment of adult patients presenting with cardiovascular diseases such as congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, valvular disease, etc.
\n
• Participation in clinical on call schedule.
\n
• Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiology procedures such as echocardiogram, stress testing, holter, event, EKG's, transesophageal echocardiogram, cardioversion, cardiac catheterization, etc.
\n
• Regularly monitor patients' progress throughout treatment, managing any side effects and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
\n
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
\n
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary staff to identify, communicate, and resolve issues related to the Cardiology section, Medical Center ancillary and support operations, and VISN-wide mandates.
\n
• Participates in quality assurance (QA) activities to include and provide data collection, data analysis, and trends and reports on changes based on data collection.
