About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care - ICU Client Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 4 Years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Vents, trachs, arterial lines, vasopressor and sedation management, central line blood draws experience. - EPIC experience is required. Description: This position is in a Level III Trauma Center, designated as Magnet and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The ICU has 27 beds with an average daily census of 25 patients. The unit handles neurocritical cases including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, and spinal surgeries. The staffing ratio is 1:1-2 and 1:3 for mixed acuity. First-time travelers are accepted. A critical care nurse practitioner is available on days, with intensivists and hospitalists present 24/7. Respiratory therapy and telemonitoring support is provided continuously. Floating may occur to various units including medical surgical and post-anesthesia care. The unit promotes strong teamwork and evidence-based nursing practices. All staff must adhere to a fatigue policy limiting work to 60 hours per week and 5 consecutive shifts. Scrub color must be any solid color without graphics, logos, or designs. Holiday expectations are every other holiday with weekend rotation every other weekend.
