Demonstrates critical thinking skills when interpreting changes in patients' immediate post-operative conditions. Communicates patient information to all appropriate caregivers to ensure effective continuum of care. Manages and interprets all patient monitoring devices in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) environment competently. Provides accurate, timely documentation, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver competent, effective, cost-efficient patient care. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Computer proficiency Excellent communication skills Advanced IV skill set Experience with medical records system Education: Associate's of Nursing Bachelor's of Nursing Work Experience: 1+ years experience as a Registered Nurse in a PACU or critical care setting Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years critical care acute hospital experience 1+ years post anesthesia experience Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) PALS Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - Pay Range: $31.85 - $52.76 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law) Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
