Ground Support Equipment MechanicThe Vehicle Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all vehicles and ground support equipment at the AAR facility. Coordinate with the Vehicle Maintenance Foreman to set priorities of equipment repair. Perform assigned duties in a safe and timely manner. Report any suspected abuse of equipment to Vehicle Maintenance Foreman. All other duties as assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Valid Drivers License required. Computer experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have a minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training. Experience in the repair of automotive and diesel engines, hydraulic and airbrake systems, single and multi-axle vehicles, transmissions, hydraulic systems for forklifts and man lifts and electrical systems. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility. The environmental characteristic for this position is an warehouse setting. Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional business environment. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.
