• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' needs, symptoms, and histories related to mood disorders such as depression and anxiety.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their individual goals and preferences, ensuring patient autonomy in the therapeutic process.

• Implement evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to foster client resilience and coping strategies.

• Offer ongoing education and support to clients and their families, fostering understanding of mood disorders, treatment paths, and self-care practices.

• Continuously track and assess clients' progress, adjusting treatment interventions based on real-time feedback and clinical outcomes.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to form a cohesive treatment approach, ensuring that all facets of a patient's care are addressed.

• Stay current with new research and treatment modalities related to mood disorders to ensure high standard care.

• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards to inform continuous care.

• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and professional training opportunities to refine your clinical skills and share knowledge with peers.

• Advocate for mental health awareness and the de-stigmatization of mood disorders within the community, enhancing the visibility and importance of mental health services.

You will primarily work with clients grappling with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, requiring a therapist with sensitivity and cultural competence to understand and respect individual life experiences.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York state.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities—Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—is crucial.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.
\n
• A proven ability to obtain successful treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for building rapport with clients from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

We strongly prefer candidates with at least three years of direct clinical experience in mental health settings, particularly in treating mood disorders. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is an added advantage.
