Job Description

This 2nd shift General Laborer role focuses on performing quality inspections on door hardware components produced by automated machinery. You accurately count and document parts, visually inspect them, and use basic measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quality inspections on door hardware pieces produced by machines.
• Visually inspect parts for defects, damage, or inconsistencies.
• Use a tape measure and other basic measuring tools to verify product dimensions.
• Accurately count parts and maintain clear, organized documentation of inspected items.
• Follow established production and inspection procedures to ensure consistent quality.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area to support safe and efficient operations.
• Sit or stand for extended periods while performing inspection and production tasks.
• Collaborate with production team members to identify and report quality issues.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general labor or production work.
• Ability to use a tape measure accurately for basic measurements.
• Basic quality control skills, including visual inspection and measuring.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting, counting, and documenting parts.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive tasks.
• Capability to follow written and verbal instructions in a production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in inspection or quality control in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Comfort working with door hardware or similar small mechanical components.
• Ability to work effectively on a 2nd shift schedule.

Work Environment

This role is based in a production facility on 2nd shift, working with automated machinery that punches out door hardware pieces. The environment involves repetitive inspection and counting tasks, with a mix of sitting and standing for long periods. You use basic tools such as tape measures for quality checks and work around standard manufacturing equipment in a structured, process-driven setting. Typical production attire is expected, suitable for a manufacturing and inspection workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
