Responsibilities
- Install, route, dress, and label copper and fiber optic cabling
- Perform rack and stack of servers, switches, and network equipment
- Install cable management systems, ladder racks, cabinets, and related infrastructure
- Assist with equipment moves, adds, and changes (MAC work)
- Test and troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues
- Read and interpret floor plans, rack elevations, and infrastructure layouts
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and changes
- Follow all site-specific safety and security protocols
- Support data center operations and infrastructure projects as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a data center, low voltage, structured cabling, or related technical environment
- Basic understanding of copper and fiber optic cabling systems
- Experience with rack and stack activities preferred
- Ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively
- Must have basic PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work safely on ladders and lifts when required
