Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Weekly Pay (40 Hours)

• Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $3,006
• Weekly Taxable Pay: $1,760
• Weekly Non-Taxable Stipends: $1,246

Schedule

• 13-week travel assignment
• 4 x 10-hour variable shifts
• On-call required: Up to 7 days per 4-week schedule , including one full weekend
• Floating required if census is low

Responsibilities

• Provide circulating nursing care for cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• Prepare the operating room, equipment, and surgical supplies for complex cardiac cases
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative experience and advocate for patient safety
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, perfusionists, and the surgical team
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to all infection prevention protocols
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Assist with patient transfers and post-procedure handoff as appropriate

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License required
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR/Cardiothoracic Operating Room experience required
• American Heart Association (AHA) certifications required:
  
  • BLS
  • ACLS
• Experience caring for adult cardiac surgery patients
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and operating room protocols
• Experience with EPIC and Omnicell preferred

Traveler Requirements

• Travelers must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 75 miles are welcome to apply but will receive the local pay rate
