Career TEAM is looking to hire an Intake Specialist in the Jefferson Parish – Metairie area who will be responsible for processing, documenting, and communicating customer service inflow across multiple intake portals. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Competitive Package Includes 401k with a generous employer match Medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employee‑sponsored HSA on any qualifying plans Disability insurance Supplemental insurance Your Impact on Career TEAM’s Success Act as a first line of contact with participants interested in enrolling into WIOA services Share information on programs and act as a first line of contact with participants interested in enrolling in WIOA services Share information on activities and offerings to all interested participants and answer questions participants may have Collect, respond, and initiate tracking for all virtually submitted applications for service Respond to phone and social media service inquiries Maintain current knowledge of workforce activities across the Greater Memphis area to ensure accurate and responsive assistance for customers engaged Maintain inventory of all virtual program orientation completions and match to program applicants, updating tracking as appropriate Collect and process uploaded program information, including appropriate documentation on applicable tracking systems Respond to inquiries (both internal and external) regarding application status Track and prepare monthly reports regarding incoming calls and touchpoints received Prepare monthly facility access reports to reflect both in‑person and incoming phone calls Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset Other duties and projects as needed for the success of the program The Ideal Qualifications for this Position Include Associate’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resourcesPossess strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make well‑thought‑out decisions Must have MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them towards achieving goals Ability to meet and exceed set goals and objectives Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational skills, and communication skills, both oral and written required Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient in maintaining a high level of confidentiality Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure Strong multitasking abilities and proactive approach to tasks Training in Trauma Informed Care, evidence‑based practice, and/or whole‑family services Bilingual or Multilingual preferred A valid driver’s license Travel The position may require local travel up to 30% of the time.
