Job Title: Polysomnographer, Sleep Technologist
Profession: Cardiopulmonary
Specialty: Polysomnography
Duration: 13 weeks

Hours per Shift: 12

Experience: One year of experience in polysomnography, neurodiagnostics, or respiratory therapy required.
License: Current unencumbered state Polysomnographic Technologist (PSGT) License required.
Certifications: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists required.
Must-Have: Healthcare Provider BLS required.

Description:
Performs patient set-ups for overnight sleep testing.
Records overnight polysomnographic (PSG) and video recordings of patient's sleep activity for diagnostic evaluation.
Communicates and coordinates activities with the Sleep Lab section leader or supervisor.
Administers sleep medications per policy.
The Sleep Center provides patients with various diagnostic tests to detect sleep disturbances and neurological-related disorders.
