Make a positive impact supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher in an onsite, full-time contract position near Norwalk, CT. This opportunity focuses on working with approximately 15 students in grades 7 and 8, delivering essential academic and developmental support in a resource setting. You’ll have the chance to foster student growth both in the classroom and through dedicated pull-out instruction, collaborating with educators to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state credentials required)
• Previous experience supporting middle school students preferred

Your responsibilities:

• Provide in-class support within resource classrooms for students in grades 7-8
• Deliver targeted pull-out instruction to address specific learning goals
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to implement and update individualized education plans
• Support student social-emotional development and advocate for appropriate accommodations
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as needed
