Associate Model-Based Systems Engineer

Location: San Diego, CA at the G2 Ops office. Work Setting: In‑person, with some remote opportunity and/or flexible working hours (not a fully remote position). Salary Range: $70,000 – $95,000 plus comprehensive benefits package. Years of Industry Experience: 0‑2+ years of relevant experience. Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance. Responsibilities Apply model‑based systems engineering methodology to requirements definition and implementation. Develop executable architecture and system models for Navy and DoD mission systems. Conduct engineering analysis and support trade‑space discussions. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure requirements traceability and system integration. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of model‑based systems engineering principles, systems architecture, and requirements management. Ability to support requirements definition, decomposition, traceability, and implementation in an engineering environment. Capability to develop and maintain system models, executable architectures, and physical and logical diagrams. Experience with UML, SysML, or similar modeling tools (MagicDraw, Cameo preferred). Analyzing system designs, modeling behavior, and supporting engineering trade‑space discussions. Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
