Bilingual CDL Driver Recruiter - Auburndale, FL

Job Description

About Us

\n

Mega Logistics is a growing Florida-based trucking and logistics company serving the construction industry, hauling both raw cementitious materials and finished construction products. Our fleet operations span pneumatic tankers, dry and liquid bulk, flatbeds, and heavy haul. We run on three core values: Be Bold. Take Ownership. Win or Learn.

\n

\n

Position Summary

\n

The CDL Driver Recruiter owns the full-cycle recruitment of CDL-A owner-operators and company drivers across our growing fleet operations. This is a high-impact, high-volume recruiting role for someone who knows the trucking industry, understands what drivers care about, and can build a pipeline that keeps trucks moving. You’ll be the first voice a driver hears from our company — and the person who makes sure the right drivers get seated quickly and compliantly.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

Sourcing & Pipeline Development

\n

•     Build and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified CDL-A owner-operators and company drivers across multiple equipment types (pneumatic tanker, dry/liquid bulk, flatbed, heavy haul)

\n

•     Source candidates through job boards, driver-focused platforms, social media, referral programs, truck stops, industry events, and direct outreach

\n

•     Develop and manage driver referral and recruiting marketing campaigns in partnership with leadership

\n

\n

Full-Cycle Recruiting

\n

•     Conduct phone screens and qualification interviews; assess experience, endorsements, safety history, and fit

\n

•     Guide candidates through the application process in our driver applicant tracking system (Tenstreet)

\n

•     Coordinate with Safety on background checks, MVRs, PSP reports, drug & alcohol screening, and DOT Clearinghouse queries

\n

•     Manage orientation scheduling and ensure a smooth handoff to onboarding, dispatch, and safety teams

\n

\n

Compliance & Qualification

\n

•     Ensure all recruits meet FMCSA driver qualification requirements (CDL-A, medical certification, endorsements such as tanker/hazmat where required)

\n

•     Maintain accurate, audit-ready recruiting records and candidate documentation

\n

•     Stay current on DOT/FMCSA hiring regulations and industry hiring trends

\n

\n

Retention & Relationship Building

\n

•     Serve as a point of contact for new drivers and contractors during their first 90 days

\n

•     Gather feedback from drivers and dispatch to continuously improve the recruiting and onboarding experience

\n

•     Track and report key recruiting metrics: time-to-seat, cost-per-hire, pipeline health, turnover, and source effectiveness

\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

Required

\n

•     2+ years of CDL driver recruiting experience in trucking, transportation, or logistics

\n

•     Working knowledge of FMCSA/DOT driver qualification requirements

\n

•     Experience recruiting both owner-operators (independent contractors) and company drivers, or strong familiarity with the differences between the two models

\n

•     Strong phone presence, persistence, and follow-through in a high-volume environment

\n

•     Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft 365

\n

•     Bilingual (English/Spanish)

\n

\n

Preferred

\n

•     Experience with Tenstreet

\n

•     Experience recruiting tanker, bulk, flatbed, or heavy-haul drivers

\n

•     Familiarity with the construction materials or building products freight market

\n

\n

\n

What Success Looks Like

\n

•     Trucks don’t sit empty: qualified drivers and owner-operators are seated quickly without compromising safety or compliance standards

\n

•     A consistent, measurable pipeline replaces reactive, scramble-mode hiring

\n

•     Drivers describe their recruiting experience as honest, fast, and professional

\n

\n

What We Offer

\n

•     Competitive salary [+ performance incentive ]

\n

•     Medical, dental, and vision insurance

\n

•     Voluntary benefits including GAP, AFLAC

\n

•     Paid time off and holidays

\n

•     401K with employer match

\n

•     Tuition Reimbursement

\n

•     A growing company where your work is visible and your ideas are heard
