Role Description The Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Lawrence, NY, responsible for overseeing all core accounting and financial operations for Karako Suits. This role manages the general ledger, month-end and year-end closing processes, and the preparation of management reports. The Controller monitors cash flow, budgets, and forecasts, and ensures accurate recording of inventory, sales, and expenses across multiple retail locations and online channels. This position maintains internal controls, supports audit and tax preparation, and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The Controller collaborates with leadership on financial analysis, cost control, and process improvements to support profitable growth and long-term business stability. Qualifications Strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and cash flow analysis. Experience with accounting software, ERP or POS systems, and proficiency in Excel and other financial reporting tools. Knowledge of inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and multi-location retail or wholesale operations. Understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work independently in an on-site environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is a plus. Prior experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader, ideally in retail, apparel, or consumer goods. #J-18808-Ljbffr
