Plasma Center Nurse RN

Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports daily operations at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, disease education, and self-exclusion. Conduct medical history interviews, physical examinations, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results. Evaluate donor reactions, implement SOPs for medical emergencies, and coordinate transportation to emergency care. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues, including unacceptable findings. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER and EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, investigating pandemic threats. Provide center level support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) in line with BioLife Medical Affairs. Qualifications High school diploma or graduate equivalency of a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Location & Compensation USA - TX - Humble Hourly Wage Range: $33.44 - $45.98 (actual wage depends on qualifications, experience, skills, and location).
