Senior Cost Accountant

Vaco is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant in North Phoenix, AZ

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain and adjust internal cost models
• Support product cost updates and changes
• Review cost fluctuations across operations
• Summarize periodic cost performance
• Assist with product-level profitability insights
• Contribute to expense planning and forecasts
• Reconcile inventory records and resolve variances
• Track valuation methods and reserve levels
• Ensure accurate system recording of inventory activity
• Participate in counts, audits, and close-related entries
• Support period-end close and account reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries and audit support materials
• Help improve processes and internal controls

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance or Accounting (required)
• 3 years of experience in cost or inventory accounting
• Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
• Ability to go on site 5 days a week
• Salary $80-90k
