About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Holding Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with conscious sedation, telemetry, and hemodynamic monitoring Description: 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday. Choice of flexible shift start times: 6 am, 7 am, 8 am, 9 am, or 10 am. No set schedules and no weekends required. This position is for cath prep/recovery, not cath lab procedure rooms. Staff will prepare patients prior to procedures to ensure readiness. Responsible for overseeing recovery of patients post-procedure. Duties include hemodynamic monitoring, recovery from anesthesia and sedation, and managing post-procedure care. Assist physicians with cardiac procedures such as cardioversion and tilt-table tests. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams. Handle a range of patient diagnoses, including chest pain, heart failure, and structural heart conditions. Special equipment may include defibrillators, pumps, and monitoring devices. Floating to other units may be required depending on census needs. Competencies must be demonstrated and documented for all floating assignments.
