Responsibilities Perform essential production tasks and support coworkers to deliver safe, high‑quality food. Use hand tools, knives, machinery and other equipment to process meat products for the consumer. Make appropriate weight, temperature, time and other checks to ensure product quality meets management standards. Complete all company‑required paperwork to document periodic quality checks, account for product produced, and provide other records as required (e.g., entering information into ADC system). Read schedule and calculate correct tree count per product scheduled. Check hanging inventory and lot availability to ensure lots are scheduled to be packed and approved per food safety. Check temperature of all products to ensure within appropriate guidelines. Communicate all information regarding product changes to Line Leads in a sufficient amount of time. Issue, manually issue and reverse product trees to production and assist Tree Strippers as needed. Qualify as a tree pusher through classroom training and on‑the‑job training. Operate Lowerator following procedures to ensure employee safety. Lift product up to 40 pounds continuously. Use a stripper knife to open netting or bags on product. Exert maximum muscle force to push trees up to 2000 pounds regularly. Check product for non‑conformances per product specification. Maintain yield by minimising waste. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Perform tasks requiring continuous/repetitive movement. Stand on concrete or platforms for up to twelve hours. Work around animal blood and/or carcass parts. Work with a knife if trained. Work in cold areas (20‑40°F) and/or warm areas (over 100°F). Work in a wet, humid environment. Wear hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel‑toed safety shoes. Work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment. Work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals. Work around strong smells/odors. Climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways and platforms. Bend, stoop, twist repeatedly over the course of a shift. Walk long distances. Use mechanical assistance for lifts of up to 30 lbs, single lifts up to 60 lbs. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications All applicants must be at least 18years of age. Willing and able to work scheduled shift and may work overtime depending on production demands. Good hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail. Physical endurance for twelve‑hour shift. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds continuously. Ability to learn and adapt to job functions. Physical Demands & Work Environment Positions can be physically demanding, requiring continuous or repetitive movement, use of hand tools, heavy lifting, and work in varied temperature and humidity conditions.
