In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in providing comprehensive mental health support to students with special needs in a remote detox center setting. Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while still providing impactful services to the students we serve. Your primary working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and a rotating weekend schedule as needed. Some on-call availability will also be required to provide immediate support during mental health emergencies.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students exhibiting a range of special needs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each individual's psychological and emotional status.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans designed to address the specific mental health challenges faced by each student, facilitating their successful integration into the educational environment.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions; these may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, or other modalities suited to the needs of students with ASD, ADHD, and emotional disorders.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that focus on enhancing personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including educators and therapists, to ensure a cohesive approach to each student’s treatment and progress.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during critical mental health incidents, demonstrating strong problem resolution and crisis management skills.

• Educate students and families about mental health issues, utilizing psychoeducation to inform them about available resources and strategies for coping.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
