Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nurse Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: Varies between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Experience: 2+ years current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion License: New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate Certifications: - CHEMO Certification - Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) - BLS (AHA) - ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Peripheral IV insertion experience - Port/Fistula/Catheter experience - IV Certification (highly preferred) - Epic experience Description: COVID vaccinations are encouraged, but not required. All new and returning agency staff must complete de-escalation training as part of their onboarding and clearance. The Outpatient Infusion Center is dedicated to providing patient care excellence. We offer a comfortable and convenient outpatient setting for those who require frequent infusions of medications. Infusion services are provided by a staff of registered nurses who specialize in intravenous therapy. Available treatments include: - Intravenous (IV) antibiotics - IV antifungal - IV steroids for inflammatory conditions - Blood and blood product transfusions - Maintenance of central venous access devices - Placement of peripherally inserted central venous catheters (PICC lines) - IV immune globulin therapy (IVIG) - Hydration therapy - IV/IM vitamins - Care and maintenance of intrathecal or implanted infusion pumps - Iron infusions - Teaching for self-administration of medications - Therapeutic phlebotomies Specialty medications administered include: - Remicade - Renflexis - Inflectra - Orencia - Simponi - Actemra - Rituxan - Stelara - Tysabri - Ocrevus - Boniva - Reclast - Prolia - Epogen - Procrit - Aranesp - Xolair - Nucala - Fasenra - Entyvio - Radicava Dress code consists of personal scrubs of any color without designs or cartoons. No hoodies are allowed. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Permanent address must be included in the profile and validated during the compliance process. Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted upon upload. Cancellation policy: The facility can cancel up to five shifts during the contract with two hours' notice.
