Posted job title: Behavioral Health Counselor Position Details Specialty: Behavioral Health Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing Hours: 36 per week (12‑hour day shifts) Employment Type: Staff Sign‑on Bonus: Up to $20,000 (based on eligibility) Position Summary Primarily responsible for monitoring services and providing community support services and therapeutic services. The BHC uses a basic knowledge of diagnostic characteristics, symptomology of primary mental illness and knowledge of medications, side effects and benefits to provide services in a person‑centered, supportive, community‑based environment. The LPC is monitored by periodic supervision. Qualifications Education – Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field (required). Experience – If a new graduate, supervised‑post graduate counseling experience (internship) with specified direct client contact under the supervision of a board‑approved supervisor. Otherwise, at least 1 year of experience (required). Certification – Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (required).
